As I told him "Not to worry"

Well Ken was a little worried when he was told that his and a lot of others over time was being cut. He was a little upset because he always likes to pay some extra on the bills that we have and he thought he might not be able to since his paychecks were not going to be as much. Well I told him not to worry because we would be just fine. I told him just to be very thankful that he still has a job all together, and things change at that place so often who know how long that will actually last anyways. So on Friday he was told he can have it back. I knew that it would not last very long. So today he went in for some over time and he will be going in early and staying late all next week. His boss has told him that he may have his over time back. Ken was very thankful as was I. It sure did make him worry for a little bit but as I told him nothing lasts forever with that place it is always changing. It is great to have him getting his over time back though.
He was also given a letter of recommendation by his old manager that retired on Friday. His old manager really liked Ken and thought it would come in handy if he was ever to look for another job. Ken was so thankful he will really miss him because they still talked all the time. He wanted to buy him a retirement card at the store yesterday and he is going to mail it to him. It is always sad to see someone you really like leave your work place.
