Worry wart for a reason

One thing I really do not like about Ken's job is that they always make you wonder and worry for the longest time. Last month only a few days before Christmas they sent an email to the employees saying that the second week in January they were going to do another round of lay offs. They have already done so many a couple months earlier. So Ken has been worried ever since. He is salary and does not have any hope like the union workers. He was always thinking the union workers make less but have more security. I guess in order to lay them off the union stewards have to be notified of the lay off 24 hours in advance according to the union contract. Well last Friday Ken was a little bit better with his worries because he seen all the union stewards getting called into the office to be notified that they were going to do union layoffs. So maybe this time he has nothing to worry about because he is not in the union anymore and it looks like that is who they are going to hit since they were notified. Ken said they had to do it Friday because they closed the place for all over time on Saturday and today would be the next day they are open. Now everyone at work is just waiting because today is the day and will be for the next couple days. The day they have all been worrying about. I think it would be better if they just did the lay offs rather than worrying every worker for a month. I think that is so mean. Ken has been a wreck. Hopefully we will be ok this time and they will not hit the salary workers as hard. We have been praying together still every night and that is one thing that will continue to be in our prayers daily.
