Thankful

One thing that I was very thankful about after Aidan was born was our health insurance. He had to stay in the hospital for a longer time than the other kids and longer than I did. I was so worried that we would have a ton of hospital bills a couple months after we were home because

of his long hospital stay. I was glad that we had our Blue Advantage because the benefits were amazing. We got a few bills here and there but really they were nothing compared to what I was thinking they would be. It was actually less than we paid with Ben when he was a baby because we did not have the best health coverage when he was born. Our employers did not offer us insurance so we had a policy that we had to pay for out of our pockets and it was not very good at all. I used to not know that much about different insurance coverage but now that I have been in the hospital a few times I have learned a little more about my portion of the bills. I also know that sometimes they try to make you pay parts of the bill that your not responsible for paying. It is very important to keep up with your coverage and to know a little about it. It sure helped us with Aidans doctor bills. It seems sometimes you pay more a month for insurance than you want but if you need to use it you will be very thankful for your investment.
