Remember when

One thing that I totally remember is when places did not use the now standard barcode scanner. I think I remember it so much because I used to work at a local pharmacy in my home town and they used the price tag system. They did not at all use a scanner. Evertime we got a truck to come into the store we would have to price everything by hand. I really did not mind that meathod but it was terrible for inventory. We had to wait till we were completely out of something to order more and that made low sales. I think that was one of the main reasons for us having to close our doors. We could not keep up with the bigger more advanced pharmacies. It was my favorite place to work so I really miss it and my friends that worked with me. If they would have know about the scanners they might still be in business.
